Robert Scoble to Discuss Word-of-Mouth Networks and the Long Tail at SlopeCast ’07

SlopeCast 2007, a social media event, delivering education on key technologies influencing social and economic impact will be held Friday, March 2, 2007Salt Lake City, UTAH — February 15, 2007 — Rocky Mountain Voices announces SlopeCast 2007, a social media and podcasting event to be held Friday, March 2, 2007. The event will feature a lunchtime conversation from the leading social media expert Robert Scoble, “Living in a Google World: The influence of word-of-mouth networks and the long tail.” In addition to the un-conference-style-keynote, SlopeCast will include mingling and podcasting interviews with key business and technology leaders.
“Everyday I am in the trenches helping companies and technology leaders understand, embrace and deal with the impact of the long tail,” said Robert Scoble. “I am ecstatic to leverage our relationship with Rocky Mountain Voices and have that conversation with the strong technology community in Utah.”
Robert Scoble is the former lead blogger for Microsoft and now Vice President of Media Development at PodTech Network. In addition to his www.scobleizer.com blog, Scoble is the co-author of the book on blogging, “Naked Conversation” and producer of the video blog Scoble Show.
SlopeCast 2007 is a must attend event for business leaders, entrepreneurs, technologists, bloggers, and social media buffs. “Our goal is to deliver events that directly impact economic development and foster interaction between business influencers in the mountain west,” said Cydni Tetro, co-founder of Rocky Mountain Voices. “Over the last 6 months, we’ve led the social media movement in the region, driving conversations about economic development, innovation and funding and sharing them with a network of more than 2 million podcast subscribers across the world.”
